Print, photographic, 3 1/2" l x 5" w, color, Front- two men and one woman smile at the camera, Back- written in ink, "Trustee Marv White" In 1972, Marvin E. White Jr., left, and his wife Maria, became Bartlett residents. In 1981, he was elected to the Village Board and began his eight-year tenure. He was initially chairperson of the Police & Health Committee and served on the Finance & Personnel Committee. The balefill was once of the main issues the Board dealt with during this time. White was the first person of color to serve on the Village of Bartlett Board of Trustees. Philip Crane, right, was a US representative from 1969to 2005, whose district included Bartlett. The women in the middle is unknown. |
