Image, Digital, black and white, Front- girl in cap and gown posing in front of trees and bushes. Jane Humbracht Ping (1924-2016) was all smiles at her 1942 graduation from Elgin High School. Jane, a lifelong Bartlett resident, she attended Bartlett School graduating 8th grade in 1938. Jane began her high school education at Bartlett High School which at the time was a two-year program with grades 9 and 10. Students had the option of completing their studies at Elgin or another high school. She chose Elgin and took the train to and from the school. Bartlett students had first period as a study hall due to the train's schedule. |
