Print, photographic, 4" x 3 1/4", black & white, cut out from album page, Front- log cabin building with door/windows, trees in background, grass in foreground, written in ink- "1949" and "Community House Bartlett Ill.", Back- partial image of young unknown girl sitting with stuffed animals. Today commonly called the Log Cabin, the structure in located at the northwest comer of North and Eastern Avenues in Bartlett Park. It was a community effort to build the structure in the late 1940s with fund being raised and donated by the Bartlett Volunteer Fire Department, Bartlett Woman's Club, Royal Neighbors and others. |
