Image, digital, black & white, Front- man outside in snow holding shovel, petting dog, buildings in background. Mr. Steffensen shovels snow on Railroad Avenue in front of the Bartlett Tavern at 113. His helper for this March 1948 event was Blondie, his granddaughter Violet Jensen Haase's cocker spaniel. The viewer is looking west down Railroad Avenue. The prominent building on the left, 121 W, Railroad Avenue, now razed, was once home to The Eck, a popular resturant and bar from the 1940s-1980s. |
