The drinks were flowing, the dance floor hopping…it was the Bartlett Volunteer Fire Department's April Showers Dance held on April 27, 1968, at the Fire Barn. The volunteers were once the social planners of many village events which also included the beloved annual Firemen's Festival. Sitting at the table, left to right, Vernetta Thurnau Benicke, her husband Fred "Fritz" Benicke and unknown. |
