Summary |
Yearbook, 9" w x 12" h, hardcover, hunter green, 156 pages, images of freshmen and sophomore classes, staff, sports, clubs and index. Bartlett High School's innagural year, 1997-1998, is illustrated in this yearbook. The school, under Dr. Rick Hoy, the first principal, opened its doors to freshmen and sophomores. The 371,000 sq. ft building, located at Schick and Petersdorf Roads, cost $48.15 million to construct and was completed in less than two years. It was the first high school to be built in U-46 in 20 years, joining at the time Elgin, Larkin and Streamwood high schools. The building, designed by the architectural firm of Burnidge, Cassell & Associates, was dedicated on October 19, 1997. Controversy surrounded which students would attend the new facility because the boundaries established by the district meant not all Bartlett students could attend. The 1997-1998 school year began with 72 teachers and 1,200 freshmen and sophomores. |
