Army Air Corps at Chaute Field. His course of study/education and work history was mentioned. John H. Sandaker (1923-1991) was born in Chicago. By 1930 he and his family were living in Bartlett on Tatge Avenue. John attended Bartlett School where in 1937 he was the second place winner in the Cook Country Spelling Bee Championship. He was awarded a banner. After attending the two year Bartlett High School program, he went onto Elgin High School, graduating in 1941. His studies continued at the University of Illinois where he earned a degree in mechanical engineering. He enlisted in the service on February 20, 1943 and was honorably discharged on October 20, 1945. |
