Feasibility and Recreation Study of the Bartlett Hills Golf Course |
Summary |
Booklet, 11" w x 8 1/2' l, softcovers, cream, black plastic spine, 31 pages not counting illustrations, Index, Introduction, divided into 5 parts. When Bartlett Hills opened in 1926, it was a private course. Fast forward to the 1970s and the four owners at that time wanted to sell the course, potentially to a builder for construction of a subdivision. Under then Village President William Tiknis, members of the community rallied to have the village purchase the course. This feasibility study was the first step into what the possibilities of that purchase would involve. On February 25, 1978, residents went to the polls and voted 1,129 to 301, to purchase the course for $1.9 million. |
