S. Kronprinz Wilhelm, Tuesday, July 16, 1907." On July 16, 1907 George Struckman and friend Charles Busche sailed to Germany for an extended vacation, returning back to Bartlett in October 1907. Struckman immigrated to the USA from Germany in the early 1850s. He was born in Hanover, Germany. Struckman, a retired farmer by then, was Bartlett's first and third village president and held other political offices. Both Struckman and Busch traveled second class. |
