Print, photographic, 4 1/4" x 6 1/4", black & white, man in suit and woman in dress with large velvet lapels in studio setting. At bottom is printed, "Hirsch, 403 & 405 West 12th St., 245 Blue Island Ave., Chicago." Herman Niewisch and his wife Mary Wendler Niewisch pose for this portrait in the late 1800s. Niewisch was a Bartlett saloon owner who died at the age of 38 in 1895. He is buried in Bartlett Cemetery.

Back- filing information and signed by Louis Stumpf.
