Object Name Postcard
Description Postcard, green & white, 4" x 6", on front are three images clustered on the left side: a building- printed in green, "The school house", railroad tracks- printed in green, "The curve" and a lake- printed in green, "Island Lake." Printed in green in upper right is, "Greetings from Bartlett, Ill." Little artwork embellishments around the images. On bottom is printed, "Walter C. Schmidt, Publisher, Bartlett, Ill." Back is unused.

The school house is Bartlett School (then located at Hickory and North Avenues, razed in 1929), prior to its 1907 addition. Island Lake is located at the southwest corner of West Bartlett Road and Route 59. The train track curve is west of town by Bartlett Hills Golf course.
